Pictures of Our Classroom

Blessed Lunar New Year

Decoration
Hope you guys are not too disappointed with the results of the decoration competition. We (or at least many of us) have done our best. I feel happy that we spent many afternoons together, and most of you have contributed in one way or other. I am very proud of our classroom, not only because it looks inviting and colourful, but because we have put in hard work, time and effort. We have also glorified God with the words at the back of the room - In God we trust. We shall not fear. In my eyes, 6C is a winner.

Blog's appearance
Some of you suggested enhancing the looks of this website. I agree. I will try adding the words "6C rox" (seems like "rox" is the "in" word now), but I don't think this particular website allows changing of colours. If anyone knows how to, maybe you can let me know.

Spelling
I will give you spelling lists (3) and (4) next Wednesday. I guess I would also prefer unseen dictation if I were a student, but spelling is also important. Imagine reading a book peppered with spelling errors. No matter how interesting the book is, we will probably have a bad overall impression of it due to the errors. So, do put in the effort to get full marks, like Joshua did. Well done, Joshua!

By the way, here are some commonly misspelt words:
1) dis appointed
2) dis appear
3) thief
4) chief
5) receive
6) occurrence
7) grammar
8) mental sums and not metal sums

Book Reviews
I was informed by Michele that her book review had been selected for publication in the Sunday Times. Congratulations, Michele. Do watch out for the next few issues of the Sunday Times to catch her in action. Martin's book review was also published in the Kid's Company magazine. Great job! We will be writing our next book review soon. Keep reading and writing!

Other matters
"Anonymous" has apologised for his comments. I'm glad and I will not pursue the matter any further. I hope I don't have to address such an issue again.

Keep the suggestions and questions (pls ask questions pertaining to work too!) rolling in.

Blessed new year.

Our Blog

It's good that more of you have gained access to the blog.

When I told you to leave your comments, I meant to comment sensibly on the contents of the blog, to give suggestions (like what Alison and Jae Won did about the decorations) or to ask questions about something that you learnt in school.

I never expected anyone to write hate messages. We have 1 Corinthians 13 on our class notice board and it says that love is patient and kind, among other things. Anonymous, pls take note of that. I would remove the comment- you should know which I am referring to, if I were you.

Also, please do not leave anonymous messages. You should take responsibility of what you write.

I hope this does not deter the rest of you from using the blog. Some of you have used the blog wisely and that is commendable. Keep up the good part.
