Internal Founder's Day

A job well done. I enjoyed myself and I hope you did too. The actors and actresses were great. So were the dancers. Thanks to the sound guys for being there too.
(By the way, 5forks, the curtains were not supposed to have been closed during the Dancing Queen part. Letitia was supposed to go on stage and look dazed. Remember?)

I also hope that you will treasure the moments you've had in Fairfield these 6 years. Do also keep in touch with all your classmates and have regular class gatherings long after the PSLE. Friends are precious. =)

Performance in Oral

Dear Citizens of 6C,

These are some comments made by one of the oral examiners:

Good

1) A number of you read loudly and clearly and had good pronunciation. These pupils got 9-10 marks for reading.

2) One of you smiled and had eye contact with the examiners during the conversation.
When you do that, you will probably be more engaged in the conversation. The person who did that got 10 marks for conversation.

3) Most of you elaborated during the conversation section.
That's great!

4) A number of good words and phrases were cited: toppled, depicts, cry over spilled milk, passion for art, painstakingly, gust, ruin etc.
The vocabulary list that we have built up in the vocabulary exercise book is useful for oral too!

5) One person introduced new ideas enthusiastically.
As I mentioned before, enjoy yourself. =)

Can improve

1) Some students were mainly descriptive in the picture conversation and gave little interpretation. These pupils tend to get about 7 marks.

2) Sentence structures and grammar can be improved. Remember to use the present tense consistently for picture conversation.

Do take the feedback seriously and try to improve. Aim for full marks for oral.

Praying for you all, Mrs Gan.
